As with all of the dolls in the collection, the attention assigned to detail is quite astonishing, producing a nearly life-like appearance.. She has a light skin tone, brown hair that comes to her shoulders. She comes wearing a pink floral faux wrap with a flower at the waist and ribbon accents. Chrissa comes wearing purple undergarments, with purple shoes and a flower bracelet for accessories. The package will also arrive with a pet mini-llama that is named Starburst. As with all American Girls, she arrives with her very own self-titled book.

The movie "Chrissa Takes A Stand" was first shown on TV on January 5 of this year and became an instant classic with the rest of American Girl movies. The film revolves around Chrissa dealing with bullying, a topic that is very important to lots of girls today. As an answer to the large number of requests from families to the American Girl management on the subject matter, they decided that they needed a doll whose story would take on this real and significant trouble that touches the lives of a large number of girls daily.

Chrissa is a imaginative and sociable 10 year old girl who has recently moved to a new town in Minnesota with her family to stay with her grandmother, who she warmly calls Nana. Chrissa's mother Meg is a doctor, while her father Paul makes platewear for a nearby company. She also has a brother called Tyler who is exceptional in his knowledge of the planets and outer space.

Her nana resides in a lake-front home in a well to do area. Chrissa's favorite activities are swimming and diving. She is especially looking forward to swimming in the lake when the summer arrives. Chrissa is also very talented at sewing and knitting. However, when Chrissa and her family relocate to Minnesota it is during the midpoint of the school year. Chrissa is uneasy about beginning at a new school and making friends.

When Chrissa starts classes, she is bothered by the 3 girls that she is assigned to sit with. She calls the three girls the 'Mean Bees'. The girls tease Chrissa in all kids of places, including swim club, around school and even on the internet. She makes a choice to stand up for herself, and to be brave and strong.

Chrissa's account is really a valuable story for girls all over, to help them in understanding just how bullying touches others, and it also teaches the significance of self-worth.

For the doll, you can get a good number of attractive outfits that have been made to go along with the movie. There is Starburst the miniature llama, plus other outfits and accessories for snow sledding, swimming and special occassions.
